- Tell us about what you do and where your team is located.
What we do is we build a virtual office for remote teams so you can move around a virtual office, you can only hear and be heard by people around you. So that's where you can hang out with your team.
Our team is located all over the place. America, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, Trinidad.
- What's a modern benefit you offer your team that isn't mainstream yet?
It's going to sound funny but how obsessive we are with the quality of the people we hire is the modern benefit we offer. We think of it as a perk - you're surrounded by absolutely world class people. - Tell us about your approach to meetings vs async communication?
We actually do believe in synchronous communication but that doesn't mean meetings. I think people tend to conflate meetings and synchronous communication but Teamflow lets you have synchronous communication that is not a meeting. It's actually a lot more efficient than both meetings and async because it's like two minutes instead of thirty and its more efficient than async because you're immediately unblocked and it's just much faster to talk thank to type. - What's your favourite tool for remote collaboration?
Teamflow :) - Can you give us one prediction for the future of work?
You know how we hear these stories about when people didn't travel more than 20 miles away from their hometown? It's just so crazy to us. I think that in 10 or 20 years, no more than that, our story will sound equally crazy to our grandkids - that we used to only work for people within 20 miles of where we lived. So that's the future of work. I really think that we're creating the first city with 2 billion people. It's a city on the internet. So as a result, finding a new job is going to take you five minutes. Finding an employee is going to take five minutes. It's just going to be a hundred times easier to hire and to be hired by people.
